I have Office Standard on Windows 10 and whenever i try and open any word document or just a blank one it automatically crushes saying “Microsoft Word has stopped working” with the only available button saying “Close program”. I have also tried with Office that i have received for free from university, but it still has the same issue.
However, it is only word and excel that do this. Powerpoint and OneNote are working perfectly. Please help!! Got a deadline next week and i cannot do work in public places as i can’t focus. Look for Office and select it, then click Modify and select Online Repair This is a deeper repair, and therefore it takes longer to finish.

If you actually have Office locally installed rather than the subscription version provided through Office , then you can’t get Office through your Microsoft Account. Only the single version of MS Outlook can be installed, so if you have both and you need to uninstall one. In reply to Starlin Almonte’s post on January 6, This was quite helpful. I went to Control panel, programs, change a program, and chose On-line assist. Took a few minutes but now it works.
